donna doubtfire

Donna spent the earlier part of her career in the performance arts industry. Her work was extensive and varied, and included performing in the West End, award winning dramas throughout Europe, and in Bafta winning shows on Channel 4 and the BBC. She created and performed original dramatic articles for the World Service radio station, and was an actor for local radio. Whilst living in London Donna was an improvisational actor touring with a story telling company creating shows for the many different audiences they encountered.

Later in her career Donna used the skills she had learnt in the arts to build a successful performance events company, where she is still a partner and regular performer.

Since 2008 Donna has been working in the business sector and the NHS as a performer coach and facilitator. She has worked at the London School of Economics, Ashridge Hult Business School, Porsche training centre, in legal offices, various NHS hospitals with student doctors, the Royal College of Surgeons and on consultant placement interviews.

The common thread in all of Donna’s work is the ability to listen to others, improvise and adapt to the needs of the situation, and to communicate with energy, empathy, passion, sensitivity and a sense of fun.

Donna is inspired to help other people, (as well as herself), recognise their strengths and to find pathways and strategies to build on them, as well as finding challenges to keep expanding and growing both personally and professionally. Learning to have the confidence to stand strong, to believe in your own power, and to trust other people to work with and support you is exciting and empowering. This is what drives Donna in life and in her work with the fantastic team at the Inspire Company.
